My view is the World Cup should never have gone there, but we are where we are. You might not agree with Beckham doing this, but I don't approve either of the blackmail.
Give the money regardless, shame Beckham if you wish, publicise the cause.

Sadly, Beckham would probably find it more difficult to back out now, because of this, even if he wanted to.
Anybody who takes money off the Qataris has to accept that their personal brand is going to be dented. It's a bit like the LIV golfers, too ... it's doing nothing to help the reputation of those paying the money, and everything to tarnish the reputation of those taking it.
It's making a point.
