i hope he doesn't run for the leadership again, it would be the very thing that the country doesn't need, not now.
His alma mater ( Eton baby) has been in the news
Eton boys swearing at oicks visiting from a secondary state school

https://www.theguardian.com/education/2022/nov/18/eton-college-apologises-after-allegations-pupils-jeered-visiting-state-schoolgirls

they all wanted to hear Farage and those who didnt get seats ( les refuses as the beaks may name them)
jeered
( the puni room of detention or salle des refuses, has been dusted down)

[yes you ignorant AB oicks, salon des refuses was the place hired by the first impressionists to exhibit the canvases that had been rejeected ( ou refuses) by the hanging committee of the academy]
Remember this is a man that had a pandemic thrown at him and Brexit, whether we agree or disagree with his handling of both is irrelevant now, I hope he takes a well earned rest from Politics for a while
so do i Bobbi,
He, having been presented with unprecedented challenges, is the strongest leader the Conservatives have had for years but if he is coming back it shouldn't be considered until after the kangaroo court that is to sit in judgement upon his alleged transgressions has done its thing otherwise the whole witch hunt will start again. (When IS it going to do its thing - or has it done it and not told us the outcome?)
For those of you who maybe unsure whether the government (and Boris) handled the Covid pandemic well (or not); Jeremy Hunt (Chair of the Health Committee) described the pandemic response as ‘one of the worst public health failures in UK history’ – so now you know.
And your Labour buddies could have done better Hymie?
//so now you know. //

We do indeed, Hymie. We cling to your every utterance. Who wouldn't?
Yes, Jeremy Hunt has the perfect background to be an expert on pandemics.

\\ After university, Hunt worked for two years as a management consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants, and then became an English language teacher in Japan.[19] On his return to Britain, he tried his hand at a number of different entrepreneurial business ventures, with three failed start-ups including an attempt to export marmalade to Japan.//
Wickipedia.
This seems to be Rushi Sunak’s response to any criticism of his government – that things would be worse if Labour were running the show.
I don’t know for how long the UK population will accept this excuse for his incompetence.
I hear a lot of blustering from yourself and Gully about the wrongs of this government Hymie but I’ve text to hear of anything Labour would have done differently from yous
Yet not text !
It’s not my utterance – it’s someone who was Secretary for Health and Welfare for 6 years (2012 – 2018); so it’s reasonable to assume he knows something about UK public health.
NAOMI, from Parliament's website dated 11.11.22

"In June, the Committee put out a public call for evidence.

The Committee called for documentary evidence from the Government.

In July, the Committee reported to the House (Report of the Session 2022-2023) setting out the Committee’s procedures and process in line with precedent.

The Committee have collected written evidence, and undertaken research.

The Committee will be proceeding to hear oral evidence shortly."
It seems bizarre to me to defend government incompetence, by claiming some other administration would be just as incompetent.
So what’s the answer ? @ Hymie
//The Committee will be proceeding to hear oral evidence shortly.//

Ahh .. right. Shortly. Shortly seems to be taking a hell of a long time - but thank you for that, Corby.
\\ so it’s reasonable to assume he knows something about UK public health.//
The national audit office produced a report on the pandemic. It stated the Government missed the opportunity to learn from previous large scale pandemic simulations going back as far as 2007.

Jeremy Hunt was Secretary for six of the intervening 12 years, yes, he should have known something about it but if he did he certainly didn't act on it.
I’m not a Labour Part supporter (or member of parliament), and I have no idea what a Labour government would have done differently – but to claim that they would have been just as incompetent as Boris and his government is bizarre (unless you know what they would have done).
Remember this is a man that had a pandemic thrown at him

also three women took off all their clothes and threw themselves at him. The result was babies all over the place and it wasnt HIS fault !

and changing the law so that the blameworthy MP wasnt blameworthy! that was him, but you know the bit about oven ready chickens !

as pure as the driven snow -he is
