I think a devil's advocate question regarding this war could be 'If you can bomb, kill and destroy my people and Country in the Russian name, why cannot we, Ukraine, bomb Moscow?'

Because I suspect there’s nothing Putin would like more than for Ukraine to abandon the moral high ground and stoop to Russian tactics.
Aside from the fact that it would - aside from being morally repugnant and probably losing Ukraine support (you can be sure the Corbyn brigade would be on the streets in no time) - it would be a hugely wasteful use of resources
What does need to happen tho is Ukraine needs to have the long range capability to hit Russia’s military machine in particular the air bases. This has already happened but not on a large enough scale

Probably by tomorrow the running count kept by Ukraine’s defence ministry of “substantive” losses suffered by Russia will top 100,000.
The question has to be how much more of this Russia can take in the defence against a nonexistent threat?
The answer seems be be we aren’t even close

Interesting that Ludmila only talks of defending her country, apparently quite oblivious to the truth and completely ignorant of the opinions of most of the rest of the world. In this age of instant access to world news reality seems to have escaped her entirely. I wonder how many more there are like her?

We are providing weapons for self defence, not offence.

Both Russia and the west would look at things differently if the Ukrainians attacked Moscow.

Yes Ukraine is getting huge help. Also in the supply of thousands of generators for primarily hospitals and schools.

Yet in the villages people exist often with no heating - this has been the case for months.
There is an amazing man called Dave Young from Birkenhead who has been driving round the battlefields rescuing people. You’ve probably read about him.
When evil comes calling you also see the best in people and it really doesn’t get a lot better than that

There’s no such thing as defensive weaponry :-) Other than air defence I suppose.
I know what you mean. But Ukraine has received a lot of powerful weapons for counter attack. Battle tanks and fighter planes as well as longer range missiles and those scary US drones whose name escape me: these I feel sure will come at the right time.
Before that the Patriot air defence system will come in. The Russians are already cross about that :-)

You can access news fro outside the Kremlin propaganda sphere but you need to be proactive in doing so: and most people naturally just lap up what they are told.
For all that support for the war is supposed to have sunk to 25% by the Kremlin’s own polling

Hopkirk, I think Ukraine have every right to attack Russia.Why should they just sit and wait like sitting ducks for these drones to come over into there country without doing something to stop them?

Yes a targeted military response - there needs to be more of that. But not indiscriminate scatter gun reprisals which is what Russia does, ultimately futilely and wastefully as well as immorally
