If the same person hosts Christmas dinner every year it is only fair for others to contribute. When we 'all went to Mother's' she would bake the Christmas cake and pudding but one of us would provide the turkey, another the beef, and we would all take bottles of wine, spirits, liqueurs etc.
Not sure how I feel about the demands for payment but I can understand it. I think I'd happily to pay up to dodge hosting the event myself. Could I ask for a doggy bag to tide us over Boxing Day?
