Presumably this now dead lady had been either actually driving her car or was sitting in it, both of which did not put her at risk. If the police unmarked car had not hit and killed her, the next person or persons in its way would have been injured. Why chase a car at all, as even catching it up would have ended badly? The "stolen" car would have come to rest at some point and, if it was in fact stolen, police action could have been taken then. Police chases seem to me to always end in tragedy and the police drivers seem to enjoy their moments of high drama. Imagine all those people who have been hit with this just two days before Christmas and don't forget the emergency services and hospital staff who have had to deal with it. The image will not disappear from their minds overnight! Doesn't anyone feel the same as I do?
Stargazer, what would you do about the idiots that steal cars for street racing, putting lives at risk? This happens too often where I live, with the stolen cars smashed and abandoned, often set on fire
