If I had one wish for the new year, it would be to close some of these two a penny media sites popping up on peoples homepage. Have just opened mine to be confronted with, Killer freeze coming from the US, too covid ( again) and all out war. The damage they must be doing to some peoples mental health. What would you wish for?

I stopped buying them because of the cost. Now I stop buying them because my diabetes doesn't allow it, not in the quantity I'd eat them, lol.

got a friend who's diabetic and a vegan, likes nuts or did, but cannot anymore, i mentioned pork crackling oh the shudder of horror, i have a go..but it's me lack of teeth, to many gaps, bits get stuck like lorry or bus under a bridge...lol i do try though, taste so dam good.

Sounds like my teefs lol, I'm 37 and have less teeth than most people twice my age. I can't get in with a dentist and I can't afford private. Being diabetic sucks but it certainly doesn't limit me from being able to enjoy the odd sweet thing now and then, I just need to get a better handle on it!

I've waited nearly two years to get an appointment with an oral surgeon at the hospital. I was told that I'd get the work done and they'd help me restore my teeth. It wasn't until I went to the appointment last month was I told that they would not do anything for me, except remove teeth that are now just stumps/roots. So I'm kind of back to square one. I pushed the appointment back a month so that if any more snap off, they'll remove them too - otherwise I'll have to wait maybe another year before the hospital will see me again. I may as well have them all extracted at once.

Any way, sorry nicebloke for changing the subject there. I didn't want to create a thread about my teeth, and I don't see any others appropriate for such conversation. Any way, enough about my teeth :)

ynnafymmi, pomegranates erm toothpick one by one, toffy err sucked out one me fillings, left gaping hole with nerve exposed, had to numb it... guess what oil of cloves didnt work, whiskey though for a little bit

ynnafymmi, watermelons maybe at least you can spit out the black pips, toffee nah dentists best friend, remember them had sweets in the 70's..you know, have a crunch and it takes a tooth out at the same time but you cant tell or in denial.
