In 2018 Reece-mogg said that there would be no need for checks at Dover; the delays would not be at Dover, they would be at Calais (due to Brexit).

However the UK’s Department for Transport has recently signed a £200,000 yearly contract with RE:ACT (the disaster response charity) to ensure the welfare of lorry drivers gridlocked in Kent, which in the past has seen lorry queues of over 20 miles waiting to reach the ferry port.

So now the UK government is admitting that Brexit is a disaster – enlisting a disaster response charity to help out with Brexit.

From Re:act’s website:-
RE:ACT is a humanitarian charity that rapidly responds to disasters and emergencies...., deploying our highly trained RE:ACT Response Teams as soon as disaster strikes.

@09.21.And up here in Scotland a majority of SNP voters voted for Brexit. It wasnt all English Tories who voted for Brexit.
Not true ynnaf.... your twisting it but I know what you mean
No,im not.The percentages are-29% of SNP voters voted for Brexit,27% of Scottish Tory voters voted for Brexit,19% of Scottish Labour voters voted for Brexit.Figures from the Guardian newspaper by the way.

Although this Brexit disaster relief is costing the UK government £200,000 (annually), no costing has been given for the delay in 20 miles of lorries, queuing for 2 days or more at the port.
"@09.21.And up here in Scotland a majority of SNP voters voted for Brexit."

"The percentages are-29% of SNP voters voted for Brexit"

Since when has 29% of anything been a majority?
// no costing has been given for the delay in 20 miles of lorries, queuing for 2 days or more at the port. //

I expect the French have worked it out, hymie.
To assist your calculation, if 29% of SNP voters voted for Brexit, 71% voted against.

In a binary vote, anything less than 50% cannot be a majority.
2 in 3 days, back to form, glad you are feeling better Hymie.
Meaning 29 out of every hundred SNP voters voted for Brexit, only 27 out of every hundred Scottish Tory voters voted for Brexit, only 19 out of every hundred Scottish Labour voters voted for Brexit.Looks like a majority to me.
can you show us a link of where "...... the UK government is admitting that Brexit is a disaster " - you seem only to be talking about a minor detail about trucker's welfare.
Brexit/Leave, Brexit/Leave. Can anyone tell me how this country is any the better, in any way, for leaving the EU?

Can anyone tell me how this country would have been any the better for remaining in the EU?

As y'all know, I didn't vote either way cos t'won't make the slightest difference to ordinary folk; us, the great unwashed.

Apart from that, everything's ok thanks! :o) Time for brekky.
Full English. Yummy!! Byeeeee!
This is what happens when you look at the detail rather than the bigger picture:

ynnafymmi, you referred to a majority of SNP voters, not in comparison to voters from other parties.

You are so anti-SNP you can't even post coherently and still refuse to admit you are wrong even when it's blindingly obvious.

Just saying more SNP voters voted for Brexit, than Scottish Tory voters or Scottish Labour voters.(Percentage-wise anyway)
Yes ynna, it only needs 650,000 ish votes to flip it the other way. The 29% of the SNP voters (from 2021 election) accounts for 374,500 ish. That is a useful chunck for brexit, thanks SNP.
ynnafymmi, that is not what you claimed earlier.

Will you now admit your earlier claim that a majority of SNP voters voting for Brexit was a lie?
TORATORATORA, "Yes ynna, it only needs 650,000 ish votes to flip it the other way. The 29% of the SNP voters (from 2021 election) accounts for 374,500 ish."

TORATORATORA even if every one of the "374,500 ish" SNP voters from your calculation had voted to remain, the overall result would have be to leave still.
No chance,TCL.At the last election there was approximately 1240000 SNP voters,29% of whom also voted for Brexit-360000 SNP voters voted for Brexit. And there was approximately 700000 Scottish Tory voters of whom only 27% who voted for Brexit-188000 Scottish Tory voters voted for Brexit.Looks like a substantial majority to me.

Of course, the Brexit disaster of 20 miles of lorries all queuing for more than 2 days at Dover, is in reality small beer in terms of the overall disaster that Brexit is for the UK.

Here’s one for you Brexiteer unicorns:-

@10.32.Apples and pears,TCL.Up here in Scotland the SNP were the Brexiteer party.
