"Prince Harry's memoir" may be giving too much credit.

To whom?

The flame-haired slayer of fanatics.
The Duchess of York?
"I dislike modern memoirs. They are generally written by people who have either entirely lost their memories, or have never done anything worth remembering."

Oscar Wilde
Well you didnt think the dim wit wrote it himself did you? REgardless of what he has been saying of late I thought it was always known he was as thick as a plank.
Didn't his teacher at Eton do a lot of his work for his exams?
And would his dad's 'A' Levels have got him into Uni if he hadn't been a prince?
Question Author
No, I didn't think he wrote it himself, nor do I think that the guff I've heard spouted on the news is anything less than focus-group polished phrases with as much substance to them as an early morning mist.

He's being played and coached by close family and minders, building a fantasy that he may be starting to believe.

The Oprah Winfrey thing was his first step on a journey that will not end well.
It’s well known who the ghost writer is.
That’s not always the case.

Ronald Reagan joked that he’d one day like to read a book he’d supposedly written
Ich... the idea of Reagan reading a book might come as a surprise to many.

Gore Vidal once said...

" I heard that President Reagan's library has burnt down.
Both books were lost.
And he hadn't even finished colouring one of them in." ;o)
Even the BBC has named the ghost writer, it is no secret. JR Moehringer.
Well you didnt think the dim wit wrote it himself did you?

well just a little - audio I thought he needed coaching - a little fast
Ghost writer didnt know it was taboo to talk about how many towel heads you had zeroed - er enemy combattants were neutralised
oh yes I can believe that !
not 25 but that it was unmentionable
you can imagine the little fella ( ahaaaha)
saying well it was a long book and I had to read it a few times to remember it all !
The worst thing about this book is that I'm seeing alot of Nicholas Wichell on the telly at the moment.
Actually, tomus, I think the worst thing about it is that some idiot saw fit to publish it. I've never heard of such a load of self-pitying, whinging tosh. And he couldn't even get a few basic, well known facts straight

Never mind. Apparently Harry's ghastly wife is setting pen to paper now. No doubt this will follow the same theme - self-pity tinged with a sprinkling of whinging and moaning about the unfairness of it all. Hopefully her recollection of events will not vary too much from that of her ridiculous husband.
people truly cannot stand that someone who is more familiar with the monarchy than any self-appointed useless "royal correspondent" has exposed what a miserable and wretched thing the monarchy actually is

that's why you're all so angry
"The 38-year-old gave evocative and specific details about the "bright and warm" weather at his school in Eton when he took the dreaded "phone call".
But reports at the time detailed that the prince - who was 17 at the time - wasn't even in the UK and was actually away skiing in snowy Switzerland."

my god... is that really the best they can do? how desperate.
untitled, //someone who is more familiar with the monarchy than any self-appointed useless "royal correspondent" //

The late queen was more familiar than anyone with the monarchy - and as she said 'Recollections may vary'. Disliking the monarchy as you do is not a good reason to support lies.
meanwhile AN Wilson compared Harry's book to Mein Kampf on Times radio...

https://www.thenational.scot/news/23241549.prince-harrys-book-spare-compared-reading-mein-kampf/

of course they can't actually get away from the fact that Harry actually knows more about the people involved than they do

if he had published "remembrances of granny" complete with never published photos of himself and the queen and lots of charming stories then the AN Wilsons and Cameron Walkers of the world would be queueing up for miles for a chance to kiss the royal bum.

of course the real reason that the press in the uk is whining so hard about this is that the palace is watching closely an ld our illustrious press don't want to lose precious access to buck house. pathetic and fascinating!
