I spent some time in the IOM in 2013, working with the company that did most of the setting up of the course (marking kerbs, erecting course markers, putting foam covers on road signs, etc), and their project manager took me round the course in his van. At normal road speeds, it took us just under an hour. notwithstanding the high kerbs, adverse cambers, drain covers, narrow sections with stone walls, slippery road markings, random spectators, the bikers do the same distance in just over 17 minutes. much respeck.
