over the Labour hold in the West Lancashire by election? Not as though they took it from the Conservatives is it?

St Michael's on Wyre is at least 40 miles from the by-election constituency - and you couldn't even be bothered to get the missing woman's name correct.
Only a 10% swing, if that were repeated across the country the conservatives would win. I'm not surprised the Labour luvvies are keeping schtum it's a poor result from a party aspiring to no 10.
Let’s face it it was a low key by election in a safe seat in freezing weather.
All the figures were likely to be low
Ich; and labour still got a 10% swing in their favour. Safe seat, new candidate.
Actually Labour would win an overall majority with a National overall swing of just over 10%.
That is of course very unlikely but only a 3-4% swing is needed to deprive the conservatives of their overall majority
In ref to the above, what I meant was a “uniform” swing is most unlikely
