Why are you asking?
I've had to look up Oakeshott. Your 'that's it' remark suggests we should all know exactly what you're getting at before we comment. I don't.

Naomi; I'm asking to see what people think.
Prudie; I'm not getting at anything. Just inviting opinions/views.
It's been on the news all day.

Thanks for the link. Roy. Fascinating glimpse of the world of private media. No pretence of balance or non-political leaning there.
You had nothing else to do but watch the news all day TCL?
I have.
Sturgeon also has a lot of questions to answer for.Methinks Wee Burney jumped before she and her hubby got a set of bracelets on their wrists.Still not to late for PoliceScotland to get these pair of chancers behind bars.
Oakeshott was the one who came up with the story of Cameron and the pig's head. I wouldn't trust her an inch (and Hancock was an idiot to do so).
Yes wait and see would be my advice.
Not being a huge fan of Hancock, but it doesn't feel like the whole story to me.
And Oakeshott is not a neutral party.

Not much response to this post, probably because it's right-on-right. Not what the righties want to hear.

ynna; I haven't a clue about Scottish politics, but I give you a BA for giving me a "Well done".
Thanks,Atheist.Basically Scottish nationalists seem to think that they are a different breed from other nationalists around the world. They arent.Their creed is hate not hope.
You didn’t really explain what you were talking about- and no link - which probably partially explains the lack of a response
Question Author
Ich; I thought it would be known by many; it seemed to be on the news most of the day. Fortunately, Roy posted a link.
I doubt if there'll be much interest. There's not really anyone to wind up or accuse of treachery - takes all the fun out of it.
The man's not too clever.
Although having Googled the fragrant Isabel I can understand how his judgement may have been compromised by a tightening of the trousers.

Dougie! You really googled her?! You lucky devil!! I once tried to DuckDuckGo her, but she wouldn't let me.
"A journalist who has long made clear her disdain for his lockdown policies, she has been accused of having a poor track record when it comes to source protection, and is in a relationship with the leader of the anti-lockdown Reform party.

As Robert Colvile, the director of the rightwing Centre for Policy Studies thinktank and co-author of the 2019 Tory manifesto, said: “The main lesson I’ve learned from this is not to hire someone who absolutely hates your signature policy as your ghostwriter.”

One political journalist said: “The man needs his head testing to have gone near Oakeshott with a flaming trebuchet, let alone a bargepole.”

Extraordinarily Oakeshott handed the entire archive of Hancock’s messages to the Daily Telegraph despite being paid a rumoured six-figure salary by Rupert Murdoch’s News UK to be a pundit on its struggling TalkTV channel.

Staff at the Sun and the Times have been left fuming that they are now trying to follow up a story given to a rival newspaper by one of their own employees – while TalkTV has missed out on a scoop that could have helped it in its ratings battle with GB News. Oakeshott said she is only employed by TalkTV on a freelance basis and is therefore able to work for other publications."
