If he was dumb and gormless, that wouldn't count as a proper lie, so all he has to do is deny, deny, deny, and the committee can make their own mind up about his mental state. His counsel can get him off on diminished responsibility if necessary; it wouldn't bother Johnson - he's got no shame.
Yes actually I do. Who took the photos? I don't think he and his colleagues did anything different to a lot of us who worked 'on site' throughout the pandemic. I had Xmas drinks and food myself, in the workplace with people I worked with every day. We weren't breaking any laid down rules, we were in our allowed work bubble.
Prudie; Some people didn't work 'on site' they worked driving buses and trains and going to work on public transport as cleaners and nurses and doctors etc. They didn't have 'parties' or work-related going away do's. Some people were arrested and fined for meeting up in the countryside for a coffee whilst not hugging each other. Some watched their loved ones through glass screens. I suppose they didn't count - after all they weren't important like Johnson. I think there's a lot of resentment against the entitled class who think that they were excused from the rules they made for the plebs. It'll come home to roost.
Atheist I know, there were all sorts working in the pandemic, me included. I'm not sure of your point about bus drivers etc and I mean this with genuine respect we have absolutely no idea that they didn't have work parties or going away do's.
I know about people being fined and it was generally outrageous however this was a group of people who worked together in the same location every day. What did it matter if they had some party food and drinks. Rest assured so did many others.
It's painted as if we were all locked up in solitary confinement except for Boris. Without a doubt he is being thrown under a bus.
