Johnson today blamed his excellent civil servants and advisers and the current PM and Ms Gray and Dominic Cummings and everybody he's ever met, for everything bad that's ever happened to him. Do you feel sorry for him?

NO!... He was born a liar and still is.

I get the impression that most news commentators are not impressed with Johnson's arguments or demeanour.
The right wingers are slow out of the traps, so we'll have to wait and see. (I'm not referring to the AB people, just the MSM).
Gully, why did you let Atheist beat you to this post ?

Baz; It's my post!

It's so clear that Pannick has told him to deny that he knowingly lied. If he was dumb and gormless, that wouldn't count as a proper lie, so all he has to do is deny, deny, deny, and the committee can make their own mind up about his mental state. His counsel can get him off on diminished responsibility if necessary; it wouldn't bother Johnson - he's got no shame.
Yes actually I do. Who took the photos? I don't think he and his colleagues did anything different to a lot of us who worked 'on site' throughout the pandemic. I had Xmas drinks and food myself, in the workplace with people I worked with every day. We weren't breaking any laid down rules, we were in our allowed work bubble.
Question Author
Prudie; Some people didn't work 'on site' they worked driving buses and trains and going to work on public transport as cleaners and nurses and doctors etc. They didn't have 'parties' or work-related going away do's. Some people were arrested and fined for meeting up in the countryside for a coffee whilst not hugging each other. Some watched their loved ones through glass screens. I suppose they didn't count - after all they weren't important like Johnson. I think there's a lot of resentment against the entitled class who think that they were excused from the rules they made for the plebs. It'll come home to roost.
"NO!... He was born a liar and still is."

takes one to know one as they say....lets not forget you've already lied and been caught out on here once earlier today !..
Atheist I know, there were all sorts working in the pandemic, me included. I'm not sure of your point about bus drivers etc and I mean this with genuine respect we have absolutely no idea that they didn't have work parties or going away do's.
I know about people being fined and it was generally outrageous however this was a group of people who worked together in the same location every day. What did it matter if they had some party food and drinks. Rest assured so did many others.
It's painted as if we were all locked up in solitary confinement except for Boris. Without a doubt he is being thrown under a bus.
Regardless of how I feel about Boris, I'm withPrudie on this. Can't see what looking through glass screens at loved ones has to do with it. Boris would have to have done the same!

I'm not a right winger by the way!
.... or a left winger!!
It's public knowledge Johnson's been lying all his life. He says what's most convenient to him at any particular time. Of course he knew they were parties but thought the stupid general public wouldn't find out.
It's naive or perverse to believe anything else
Was this bus one of his bendy ones or the one with the writing on the side? Or one of those that come along two at a time? Ding ding.

Tora; despite your undisputed high IQ, you don't really get what a lie is.
His bendy buses Togo?

One of his actions as London mayor was to rid the capital of bendy buses. Boris buses are the modern version of Routemasters.
He's still responsible for the irresponsible introduction of Boris bikes though. Still even that isn't as bad as the insane idea of motorised scooters on the road.
Meanwhile this "party" nonsense is an utter irrelevance. Those bringing it up just ensure others, whom they've persuaded that somehow it made the loss of their loved worse, upset themselves. Those keeping this going should be ashamed of themselves.
...loced ones...
...loved ones...
