Chaos At Dover
Thousands of coach and car passengers endured a miserable Wait .
Many of them all through the night for their much awaited Easter Holiday
Stormy weather and the French were blamed by the UK Government .
But the Brits were just getting a taste of what they signed up for with Brexit When voted to become "Third Country Nationals" in the eyes of the EU... And it can only get worse....You are no longer in the EU so you have to join the non EU queues at ports and airports You voted for it . Enjoy.

As I have said before, things are going to get much, much worse with Brexit continuing to wreck havoc on the UK.

If you don't challenge people who post unsatisfactory rants, then that becomes the accepted narrative and continues to deface the site.
I note that at no point has the OP replied to my pertinent remarks about whether it is seemly to take pleasure in the sight of buses full of tired and upset schoolchildren (who are missing much needed holidays through no fault of their own) - perhaps because even he knows that it's beyond the pale?

No G it shouldn’t depend who the poster is
Surely the Site Rules don’t differ just because the aber is disliked. ?

When gulliver1 sticks to "playing the ball not the man" (as the Ed has encouraged us all to do), then I'll do likewise with him.
Indeed I do just that for just about everyone else on this site - including, for example, posters like TTT - with whom I actually have far more differences on policy and politics than I do with gulliver1 - and so we maintain a grudging respect for each other, I think.
But I refuse to play with one arm tied behind my back, so I give as good as I get with gulliver1 and even occasionally "get my retaliation in first", as is the case today with his particularly repellent gloating at the plight of schoolchildren.

I never mentioned like or dislike, Anne. Gulliver has had plenty of support from me on this site. I doubt he could deny that.
This was quite different. Gloating in the way Gulliver did at the distress of others is wrong.
There will be folk there who wanted to remain but even leavers don't deserve....Enjoy....as he said.

If gulliver1 wants to restrict the scope of replies, he needs to either provide a link, or be very specific about who/what he is laughing at.
Since he did neither, I'm entitled to make my own entirely reasonable assumptions as to the story he is referring to.
Even so - if we ignore the schoolchildren, does it make it any better that he is deriding and gloating at thousands of people stuck in a queue waiting to go on a well deserved holiday?
