Yes, it's only use is to help the smokers quit.
surely ALL vaping is recreational?

I don't consider hardened smokers trying to quit as recreational vapers if that's their crutch. Hopefully they'd stop vaping after a few weeks or months.
so you mean as a prescribed treatment? in that case i agree

Yes

Australians need a prescription to buy nicotine vapes but the new laws will hopefully stop the sale of them on the black market
It's sad that the saucepans have taken up vaping, gawd knows why, are they completely radio rental?
they are just young and think they know everything. When i was young i thought smoking looked sexy and cool - what a fool i was. But im saying that with 40+years more life exprienc3 of course
For all the excuses, the vape was just a cynical attempt by those with no conscience to make money when society FINALLY started restricting the ability of the inconsiderate to ruin the atmosphere around their fellow human beings. So more are now becoming addicts and, worse, continuing to be antisocial pests claiming it's all ok because it ain't tobacco. It is obvious without needing to be asked that it should never have been allowed to happen in the first place, but I guess money doesn't just talk, it corrupts.
On the current available evidence, vaping is not as unhealthy as smoking tobacco.
There is a danger that in banning it or restricting its use, you are pushing young people onto the more harmful, cancer inducing alternative.

If you want to improve public health, ban ALL cigarettes for everyone no matter what age they are.
There isn't much point banning vaping unless you also ban tobacco.

Vapers will just become smokers otherwise.
Banning things rarely works, just look at prohibition in the US - spawned the likes of Capone.

I agree with you, young. Making them unattractive to children and restricting where they can be sold would be a start.
I've asked before but never got an answer so I'll try again.

What happened to the predicted epidemic of 'popcorn lung' that had the great and the good on the warpath a few years ago?

Why oh why oh why...
Question Author
It's a real thing, it may become an epidemic. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Here is a recent news article

I predict she makes a full recovery when picked up by a reality TV producer.
