If that were the case how did the women know this woman still had her penis?

I really feel for those trans people who have been quietly living their lives for many years, using the toilets they feel comfortable with discretely and not drawing attention to themselves.

I have no problem with whatever a transfer person wishes to identify themselves as. But you are what you were born as. I respect their wishes, but they have to respect others feelings when it comes to public loos, dressing rooms, hospital wards, etc, etc.

Yes there are a very few unfortunate people who are born of uncertain gender physically That's a completely different situation.

I worked in the NHS for twenty years and during that time worked with a number of people with transgender issues. One in particular sticks in my mind. A 16 years old confused teenager , born with male genitalia but with female characteristics. Dressing in girlish blouses and wearing make-up. The female patients didn't want him in the same bedroom or using their toilets. Likewise the males shunned him. He had to have a little cubicle in the corridor and used the staff toilets. He was waiting to have a transitional operation but in the meantime he went through hell. All because a mistake was made when he was a foetus in the womb.

Andre's. I'm interested. Why was there a mistake in the womb if he was born with male genitalia. He was born a boy and surely was just homosexual. There are babies born that can't be identified as girl or boy at birth. They are the ones I feel sorry for.

MissTerious-^^--I worked in Occupational therapy with patients with psychiatric problems in the 80s.We were given their background medical information . I just remember that when the sperm enters the egg in then the sex is determined . Over the next few days or so the brain develops and testosterone is pumped in Sometimes Mother Nature puts too much in and although the genitalia is female the brain with a lot of testosterone is more masculine.. Sorry it's not a very good answer but I can't find the article explaining it but if you could read up on it you would find it very interesting

As Andres said, this can happen, but the numbers are vanishingly small. My Goddaughter was one of the genuine cases and it is a terrible thing to suffer from. Her teens were horrendous, anorexia, bulimia, breakdowns etc.. She still managed a 1st at Bath Uni, but a year late. Lots of late-night emails exchanged with me and others. She became a paramedic - won her area's 'paramedic of the year', wondered if she were bi-sexual or gay.
When she was 28, gender dysphoria was finally diagnosed and medication and surgery embarked upon. All going well, accepted by friends & family (now I had a Godson).
He was found dead almost exactly a year ago.
It's horribly hard for genuine cases and the avalanche of public 'fakes' and the abhorrence they engender has just made matters worse. I have no time for these people once they are adult, kids can get confused and be unsure.
Regarding the OP; the abolition of open changing rooms (which I avoid) and the reintroduction of cubicles could help a lot.

I have respect for those people who genuinely feel they were born into the wrong body and therefore take steps to rectify it by transitioning, but my respect wanes for people like this creature, and the rapist who raped women with his penis, who merely claim they’re women.

St Urgeon states trans women are women by simply claiming they are so, and that’s where my credulity stops.

Thank you for posting that Jourdain. I'm so sorry to hear your story. I knew this could happen and Andres explained well about the hormone /brain situation etc.

These people need all the help they can get, but they'e not the ones who seek publicity and attention by insisting on being called 'they' instead of 'him'or 'her' etc.
