I thought exactly the same when I read this article earlier. Just doesn't add up. I don't expect those who are claiming severe hardship at the moment will be too enamoured with the overseas spending aid being returned to its original payments.

It’s very embarrassing when a Conservative Minister in a Government with an appalling recent record on inflation, predicts it would be worse under the opposition.
The Country has been suffering appalling strikes for a year because the Tories record on inflation means they have to strike for more money just to stand still.

Up here in Scotland us workers pay a higher rate of tax than you lot down in England.I am happy enough with that if it pays for better social services,etc,if it is going into the Murrells and their friends back pockets,forget it.
