Tory London Mayoral Candidate Shenanigans.
The Conservatives are choosing their candidate to fight the London Mayoral Elections and the race is proving interesting.
The frontrunner who is Minister for London was rebuffed. And a man who had not announced he was standing was pur through. All very odd.

Paul Scully is an MP in the ward where I live. He was a reasonably good campaigner and fought for the refurbishment of our local St Helier Hospital. He would of got my vote in the mayoral election solely for above reason. I believe any Tory candidate would, I hope, oppose Khan's ULEZ scheme.

London becomes, increasingly, a foreign country to me and very many people I know. It is all very odd - but then everything seems to be. How come S.Khan hasn't been thrown out? for instance. It's a great shame. I'd love to have a day or 2 looking around galleries etc. but the last time I was there (2013) I felt like an alien.
That's rather presumptuous, Atheist. Please remember that I spent 30 years teaching, very successfully, in Comprehensive schools in Bradford amongst others. I was also a successful Athletics coach. My eyes lit up when a Caribbean-type lad or lass turned up! You have almost called me a racist and I object to that most strongly. Believe me when I say that an aversion to skin colour would not have enabled me to work!
No - it's the rushing around, the carelessness of others amongst other things. The isolation, the 'me, me, me' and, above that, the shallowness, the disconnection with what I know to be 'normal' life .

jourdain. I asked you a question. I didn't accuse you of anything. I realise that here a question can be mistaken for an accusation. I don't hide accusations inside questions.
I apologise for a clumsy question.
And of course I don't remember "that I spent 30 years teaching, very successfully, in Comprehensive schools in Bradford amongst others. I was also a successful Athletics coach. My eyes lit up when a Caribbean-type lad or lass turned up!"
How could I?
