Seems fair enough. One is trying to expand his empire by fair means or foul, the other fights for what his constituents demand.
Fortunately it is not a Mayoral election.
The Constituents will decide on how the Conservative Government has been for them, and whether they think Labour or the LibDems will be any better for them.
Yet another U-turn from Labour. At this rate they will meet themselves coming back.
It is not a u-turn.
Khan hasn’t changed the policy.

I suspect the Conservative candidate isn’t 100% in agreement with the Government’s Policies. It isn’t unusual for local candidates to be in disagreement with ‘the Party’.
"Earlier this week Mr Beales used a hustings event to perform a U-turn and attack the extension of the £12.50-a-day levy on the worst polluting vehicles from August. " I rest my case.
I'm sure Londoners think they're hard don by but spare a thought for the Weegies and folk looking to visit the second city of the empire.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion.
ULEZ is still there, the candidate doesn’t support it. Did he ever ?
Not really a U-Turn if he never supported it.

We will see at the by-election if the constituents supports Sunak’s economic policies that have resulted in a cost of living crisis for the poorer in the local community, and sky high interest rates for home owners and buyers. The worst inflation since Mrs Thatcher and shambolic immigration and hospital waiting lists.

It was no coincidence that Boris could not be bothered to fight for this seat - because he knew it was already lost.
Gromit I am sure you are capable of reading the article but as I said in a post on another thread I can never resist a shot at an open goal.

"'It's a fact that Danny Beales has backed ULEZ expansion to our borough for years from the comfort of his central London Council chamber.

'Now it's losing him support on the doorstep, so he's trying to trick people into thinking he wants it delayed. Local people don't want a delay, they want it scrapped. Full stop.'"
