"Queen Camilla" 41 Gun Salute Anyone Else Find This Insulting

"QUEEN" Camillas birthday today and she was given a 41 gun salute. I find that offensive. An Insult to our late QUEEN. Camilla was meant to be Queens Consort, the Queen herself wanted that, this was ignored by Charles. To me she is not Queen and never will be she is Queen consort. Anyone agree?

Elizabeth Bowes Lyon was referred to as Queen, not Queen Consort, until her husbands death when her title changed to Queen Mother. Camilla if she outlives Charles, will get her new title of Queen Dowager. There is no reason why she cannot be called Queen whilst Charles is King.

Having met and spoke to both Camilla and Charles....
Both lovely people.
But just people non the less.
No different than you or me!
My G/F at the time bowed to both of them.

I have no problem with it. All Queens are 'Queen Consort' unless they inherit the title themselves, e.g. Elizabeth 1, Victoria and Elizabeth 2. It's as it should be.
I like her anyway and she is doing/has done very well.

I don't really interest myself with royal nonsense, but yeah, it seems wrong to have, say, Philip, not referred to as king, but be ok with say, Camilla being referred to as queen. It goes to show what a nonsense it all is. Nothing too much wrong with being acknowledged as consort instead. Apart from there being a royal family at all, that is.

If a woman is Queen in her own right, her husband is never King - hence Philip wasn't King and neither was Victoria's husband, Prince Albert. If a man is King in his own right, his wife is always Queen Consort - usually referred to as just Queen.
