at the moment political power in this country is held by a party that is deeply neurotic amoral and desperate. they believe in absolutely nothing and will do or say anything to cling on to power… power which they have already used to harm this country immensely with their demented fantasies and corrupt desires. if labour are not actively malevolent and...

"...but already it was impossible to say which was which." George Orwell, 1945.

Anything can happen between now and the.

The Blues are on the run ...at last. That's the end of them for a few decades. Now the UK needs to concentrate on rejoining the EU before it's too late .That's if the EU will allow the UK to rejoin. I hope so.
Hope Labpur can stay ahead but we won't try to rejoin eu under Labour....so maybe your hoping for a labour/Liberalor SNP coalition???
I can't imagine what joy anyone is expecting from a woke Labour government led by Starmer but, whatever it is, I think you'll be very disappointed.
‘Gromit Great, except it is 18 months to the General Election’

If the conservatives go for the prescribed GE date, voting would occur in January 2025. Given the present apathy for politics combined with January weather, I’m not sure that leaving it ‘till then would be wise, for them. The age demographic of Tory voters is 55-64 who would be more reluctant to venture out I should polling day’s weather be bad.
Sorry, I should have written ‘the *majority* age demographic…..’
Joy of more honesty, less infighting, fresh ideas, safe pair of hands...
Don't hold your breath, bob. Starmer isn't honest now so I doubt that's likely to change for the better once he's got the keys to number 10.
Thanks but I'd rather take that chance.
Your choice of course. Just saying ...
Many people wishing to protest by voting for Labour won’t really care, Naomi. I’ve said it before but AB is not the norm in terms of people’s political awareness. The many of the majority of voters are swayed by the media and/or the cost of living crisis.

Wonder how many people who voted this originally Boris Govt into Power with waving flags , rounds of applause ,trumpets sounding and a thumping great Maj , now secretly regret doing so, and the same with Brexit. It's the old adage ..........Repent at leisure.......

Well now that rishi has announced new gas and oil drilling licences it's going to put keir in an awkward position. Is he for or against the UK having its own gas and oil. Does he upset the eco loons in his own party or the red wall seats and the Scottish oil and gas workers?
If the tories play it right and grow a pair and stop with the ludicrous dash to net zero, it could turn out to be an election time bomb for Labour.
That does seem to be the way they are going (and something I have said for a few years now), but talk is cheap so we shall see.
Gulliver at 10.07, if not Boris who you seem to hate, who would you have voted for at the last election given the same choices as we had then.
