But I do trust the nuclear scientists who have been saying for months that there is no serious risk of a “nuclear incident” at this plant - even if the Russians managed to blow up bits of it the most dangerous nuclear waste has long since decayed as the reactors were shut down ages ago

Yes, I never quite understood how mines were going to be set off remotely from Russia and nobody would set them off (if they existed) at close range.
Still Vlad. is a maniac as we all know, though I have read that a large proportion on the Russians support him, but could that be they daren't say otherwise?

By “waste” I meant the isotopes that decay at different rates. The slow decay ones are the dangerous ones.

Previously I predicted a Fukushima style disaster but apparently the rate of poisoning would be low.
The Russians might still blow up the plant but that would be economic vandalism rather than nuclear terrorism and I’m not sure they are indeed capable of doing it
