If they were safe in France, why would they set out on a perilous journey? What is here that they don't have in France. They are safe there; they can apply for asylum there. What makes them set off?

gulliver1, it's actually an eu problem they let them in to roam around as they please, this all could have been avoided if they towed them back or not let them land in any eu country, the only cure is fortrees europe gunboat diplomacy, sounds bad..but, sink them or tell them to turn around..
