17:37, they are not "controlled" though are they? They are part of the UK with their share of seats in parliament etc. There have been Scottish PMs for gawd sake. Anyway I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the Blue woad brigade and the ABE mob that hate England. What they want is not independence, they want "independence" so they can join the EUSSR, ironically that would be "controlled"! with knobs on.
Most neighbouring countries have some form pf border control Tora. An independent Scotland would be exactly the same.
I personally think it would be beneficial for us to see the results of Scotland joining the EU. Whether they prosper or fall flat on their sporrans will show the English if we made the right decision leaving or not.
