1970 - who remembers Edwards? - he was the one fiddling around with rabbit eggs and fertilising them with ( anything) most died at the four-cell stage. We had him as our physiol lecturer. - - and so you can see that it took ten years to get it to the delivery sweet.
( and most obstetricians wouldnt touch it - Steptoe was an obstetrician at Oldham I think)
