Have just been reading that his daughter has received £150,000 from the charity. Surely this can't be right?

Nice work if you can get it.
There's been a lot of dodgy dealings involving the "charity" money that Sir Tom raised.
I'm sure Tom wouldnt mind.

David Miliband is on more than $1m a year as president of the charity International Rescue Committee
You should all be very clear that this charity is nothing to do with the £38 m that Captain Tom raised and the NHS received every penny of that money.

They have to keep up with the Private Sector.

E.G. Southern Water Boss: Pocketed more than £1m in wages in the year 2020/21. On top of his £435,000-a-year salary, he was also handed a £550,900 bonus, meaning with pension payments and benefits, his overall pay package was a hefty £1.082m.
it is not the amount of lu-lu

Maggiebee 22.04.I'm sure you will already know this but if not. Any money or gifts you give to charity, then you relinquish controll of such.
A warning not to cling to any old tosh in times of great stress maybe?
Less than Mo Salah makes in 3 days!
RIP TOM. Some chance on AB.

Has he replaced Jeff Tracy then??
In gerneral, not talking about Tom Mooore case.....No problem with paying a good salary for them that do a great job... you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Or do we just want rich people who can afford to do it for nothing
The Telegraph page is "not found".

I think the issue is more than salaries being paid from the funds raised. There is an ongoing enquiry into that, but meanwhile his daughter has been ordered to demolish a pool and spa built at their home allegedly using money from donations:

Murkier and murkier.
These things will happen when the great unwashed bang pots with spoons on their doorsteps and somebody spies a chance to monetise an old man going for a wee stroll.
