Maybe I am just TROB.

Come 1 January next year (thanks to Brexit) UK manufactured electric cars exported to the EU will be subject to a 10% tariff (unless some agreement otherwise is made before hand).
This will significantly reduce electric vehicle production in the UK, with uncompetitive prices in the EU – let’s see the Brexiteers put a positive spin on that Brexit benefit.
Hymie: "Come 1 January next year (thanks to Brexit) UK manufactured electric cars exported to the EU will be subject to a 10% tariff (unless some agreement otherwise is made before hand)." - half the story, if they charge us 10% we'll do the same, we are not as helpless as you 5Cers seem to think, anything they do we can do, with knobs on.
The Bank of England (that lefty 5C organisation) has said that Brexit has cost each household £1,000 – whatever makes you think those Brexit costs are not ongoing?
It’s good to see that Brexiteers don’t mind that Brexit will cost them many thousands of pounds over their lifetime – because that is what it will cost.
"Electric cars made in Germany will be tariff-free throughout the EU, but with a 10% tariff for those imported to the UK " - so who's hurtuing the most then? The Germans wont be happy if we lump 10% on their exports to us will they. Better for all concerned if the EUSSR can stop it with their hissy fit and start working with us for mutual benefit.
