For those of us who can read enough to get past the past the headlines ( you get those from corduroy pillows) the Express says just after
"Post-Brexit Britain is defying the doubters, thanks to better- than-expected "growth" figures. After initial estimates put it at 0.1percent, Gross Domestic Product for the first three months of this year "actually rose" by 0.3 percent. The UK economy is now thought to have "grown" by 1.8 "percent" between the final quarter before the pandemic hit and the second quarter of this year. Britain has therefore stormed ahead and overtaken both Germany’s 0.2 percent and France’s 1.7 "percent" over that period." ... "Togo edited to italics for the hard of comprehension"
//Do these people really believe our GDP is now above Germany's?//
No one has stated a belief that the UK GDP is above Germany's. In your usual delusional way you have made the accusation that they have because you can prove it. We can all pick a point that we know is correct, and make an issue of it, only you on here pick one and attach it to a thread that is not even discissing it. You come across on here as a lonely, desperate for validation by conflict, sort I'm afraid.
Stop being deliberately obtuse gromit:
"The UK economy is now thought to have grown by 1.8 percent between the final quarter before the pandemic hit and the second quarter of this year.
Britain has therefore stormed ahead and overtaken both Germany’s 0.2 percent and France’s 1.7 percent over that period." - note the context, they are talking about growth.
