boats (race) = face

frog (& toad) = Road.

So, you could say

"yeah but if the JSO eco nutters led with that they would have had the fine outstanding patrons of Whetherspoons glueing their faces to the road" (or pavement I think you may call it).

I am not seeing a problem. It the unlikely event hops become unpalatable in ale then surely the solution is to move where hops are grown to a more appropriate location where they'll get the same growing conditions they were traditionally grown in.

Sime of the beer festival grog my local spoons has been sloshing up has already been affected by the taste of it :-(

one benefit was the house ales were sold off at 99p a pint to free the pumps up for Camera muck.

Kardishev, yeah just a bit of fun these days me old china (China plate - mate) but the origins of Rhymming slang do represent a serious need. I work with a lot of septics (septic tank - Yank) and I have taught them quite a bit. Some of our emails are fun now.
