They should have gone to the Houses of Parliament instead.

Some fairly impressive compensation ordering, given some pretty poor sentencing by courts in recent years.

Hopefully the ghost will torment those little brats for years to come.

£1500 each and a referral order is no punishment.  

Read the story elsewhere a while ago. Surely the £1.5k is just the fine, and they need to cover the cost of repairs/replacements too ? If not surely a civil case has to be a possibility ?

Nope, that's it.  It would be pointless bringing a civil claim against a child unless you know he or she has money of their own.

In England a parent is not liable for criminal damage caused by their children so you can't sue them.
