the painting was previously attacked by sufragettes and they were drawing a parallel - correctly in my opinion - between their tactics and those of the sufragettes 

they are right about fossil fuels and we all know it. climate catastrophe is a disaster for human civilization... moreso than damaging the glass of a painting

I am more concerned about plastic pollution than greenhouse gasses. NASA took samples from lots of locations in the oceans all round the globe, and every sample contained large quantities of micro-beads, a major ingredient of shower gel. Not good, eh?

It's what Mrs T. called (of the IRA) not giving them the oxygen of publicity, she brought in legislation, but that was when the country had a real leader.

If they'd just done their speech they'd have made a point whether  you agree with it or not. But the attack on the picture was crude and rather pathetic and attempts to justify it by evoking similar acts in the past was lamer than lame.
