well..... I wouldnt expect 4000 dead babies, at the hands of the army ( good regiments mind) and for Khan to say

What does your video show, ROY?

How come it isn't illegal to climb a war monument but it is  to climb a crane?

What is the offence when climbing a crane?

It shows the police posing instead of policing.

Holding a political Pakistani flag (no doubt showing support for Khan)

That ain't their job and what is happening in Pakistan is *** all to do with them.

THECORBYLOON,

"The boy has been arrested on suspicion of of criminal damage, aggravated trespass, public order offence and (irrevelant here) covid 19 regulations".

ROY, what has that photo got to do with folk climbing memorials?

Folk?

You sound almost supportive. They're disrespectful a-holes.

Emboldened to be disrespectful because of the way police join in an event rather than police an event.

You tell me why they should be holding and posing with that flag.

Is AB regressubg or is it me

Try climbing up there with a Union Flag and see how long you last.

Straight to the cells without your feet touching the ground no doubt.

The Met needs disbanding and splitting up into 3-4 New forces.  Say City, North London & South London.

PP //Is AB regressubg or is it me//

No it's you: and a war memorial isn't simply an object like a crane, it's a sacred site with deep meaning for the British people and their allies.

Khandro, that feeling goes extremely deep in the British psyche. Just last week on the 10th, I was in my local town and noticed the council were cleaning the statue of a soldier on top of the war memorial. An elderly lady stopped and said the cleaner was being disrespectful because he was wearing shorts. Petty? possibly but it shows just how deep the feeling lies.

I think the British public in general do feel strongly about this but they've lost faith in the police and in the government - and for good reason.  The sense of abandonment is palpable.

vulcan; "Petty ?" no that's not petty, that's a nice story, & the sort of thing my old mum, were she still with us, would have said.
