Not quite - there will be calls for charges to be brought, we will have to see how that pans out.

Handing back her gong reluctantly under public pressure was her choice.

She did wrong, she has admitted it, but she is now a scapegoat for the many post office senior executives, many (but not quite all) the constituency MPs concerned, the press, Fujita computer software, and by the way, what did you do at the time?

She's not a 'scapegoat' Khandro, she was front and centre, in charge from day one, so please stop trying to defend the indefensible just because she pretended to be a Christian while it suited her.

As for what "I did...' - What do you suggest?

Buy a crystal ball?

No-one could see this coming,  except her and those like her, who made it happen, and then perpetuated the agonies for innocent people and their families.

All of them are culpable to some extent. For example, Kelly Tolhurst was the minister when Paula Vennells got the CBE.  As Alan Bates said, none of them were any better or worse than any other - the problem was that the Government was on the Post Office's side. Also, the Government has other contracts with Fujitsu, beyond the Post Office contract.

A lot of people are involved, but none have shown such stratospheric levels of insensitivity and hypocrisy as the 'Christian'.

She is beyond defence, she should hang her head in shame. Ad well as wearing  her knees out preying to her deity for the forgiveness she manifestly does not deserve.
