Definitely a strange one. To say there's nothing wrong with her from a mental point of view doesn't quite fit the picture, does it. If she's beating herself up and claiming having been raped, there's definitely one or two wires that have come loose.

naomi24 - you could be right. So many police forces have a hill to climb to ger public trust back. But I digress...the number of successful prosecutions for rape is *incredibly* small, and cases like this can play into a false narrative that women make up these claims.

She's not only made it difficult for real victims...but what of the men she accused. As stated in the article, several even tried to take their own lives.

Tbh, I'm not sure prison will help...she needs psychiatric treatment. Will she get that?

To be accused of rape - for a man I can't imagine anything worse - even with murder, you can be proven conclusively not guilty, but with rape, there's always that perception of "Well, no smoke without fire" or "The jury simply didn't believe her word".

Allegations kinda hang around like a bad smell.
