//Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has told the United States that he opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state once the conflict in Gaza comes to an end.
In a news conference, a defiant Mr Netanyahu vowed to press on with the offensive in Gaza "until complete victory": the destruction of Hamas and return of the remaining Israeli hostages, adding that it could take "many more months".
Earlier on Thursday, Mr Netanyahu said Israel must have security control over all land west of the River Jordan, which would include the territory of any future Palestinian state.//

the truth is that netanyahu and his party don't want a two state solution and never have. they want all the land to go to jews and don't particularly care what that means they have to do to get rid of any palestinians with the temerity to already be living there... that's why we see government armed militias attacking farmers in the west bank... it's why civilians are being constantly bombed in gaza... it's why government ministers and soldiers frequently talk about "nakba 2023" and taking back the land... and it's why the IDF have been destroying even palestinian cemeteries. it is what the ruling party wants... and many jews both inside and outside israel find that absolutely abhorrent.
How can you live next to someone who is dedicated to your annihilation?
The real core of the problem lies in the violent and abhorrent religion of Islam, which in the Koran, specifically exhorts its adherents to 'Kill the Jews.' (and if you are a non-Muslim, you too!)
