Sunak Laughing At A Woman Complaining About The State Of The Nhs
I don’t know what the woman’s daughter spent 7 hours waiting for, but Sunak clearly wasn’t interested.
My, how Sunak laughed at the suggestion that we could go back to how it used to be.

Have Sunak giving the thumbs-up to someone who is number 35 in the phone queue to their GP at 8am – to make a phone appointment with someone who, if they are lucky has some medical qualifications; and if seriously ill might actually get to see a GP one day.
That would be better than laughing at the poor sods.
I'm currently reading In Stiches by Dr Nick Edwards an A&E doctor and in it he lays bare the problems with tue NHS.
The thing is, it was written in the mid-noughties, and things he complains of are the same things we hear complained of today.
I'm no fan of this TINO Government, but to lay the blame at their door is wrong.
Mr Sunak is a man completely out of his depth. He has absolutely no idea of the problems most people face or what he should do to solve them.

No there wasn't. There were times when it was better than now, but never a time when there were no queues or delays.

The problems in the NHS will not be cured by money. It spends more money now than it ever has (including adjustments for inflation) and its outcomes are worsening. It suffers systemic problems because its model was flawed from the outset. No other country has attempted to duplicate it for one very good reason - it is unsustainable.
But no government of any colour will take the steps necessary to cure it. So don't expect any significant improvements if and when a Labour government comes to power because there won't be any. They may tinker a the edges; hopefully they'll not tinker as much as Mr Blair did when he gave GPs twice the money for doing half the work, leading to many of the problems patients needing the GP service face today. But the radical changes necessary will not be made. The end result will be that the NHS will wither like NHS dentistry has and will become a service of last resort, with many of its services available only to people who cannot afford to fund their own treatment either directly or through insurance. But it will still consume as much money as it does now because its directors and managers will make sure it does.
I remember in the 50s if you felt ill or had a pain off you went to the local surgery. Sat down in the waiting room with everyone else and no matter how long it took you were seen by the doctor. If you didn't feel that you could make it to the surgery then a doctor would come to your house. Every person aged over 80 would have a home visit once a year and have a health check. If you needed to be seen by a specialist that would be arranged quickly and in our town we could choose which hospital . There were students houses in the hospital grounds and they did most of their training on the wards and in nearby colleges. Then it was decided to do away with the smaller friendly hospitals and build big, impersonal ones in the larger towns. That's when it all started to go wrong. Too many managers, University training for students, ,private cleaners ,throwing items like walkers,commodes crutches onto the tip whereas previously they would have been sterilised and re-used. Waste food thrown away (that would have been collected by local farmers to feed their animals. ) All I can say now is --Yes, the NHS was a lot better in days gone by.

Such is your visceral irrational hatred that you are prepared to disbelieve your own eyes and ears. In the clip you posted it is perfectly clear he laughed not at the lady but at something said off camera; his eyes diverted to whoever said the something off camera that caused him, and others, to laugh. The subsequent clip posted also shows he wasn't laughing at the lady.
When you are proven wrong I always feel it's best just to be big enough to admit being wrong rather than doubling- down...although I do accept in your case, given the vast number of times your arguments have been comprehensively dismantled, that if you were to be big enough to admit you are wrong you'd have to do so on pretty much question you post.
It certainly wont do Sunak any good.Remember Gordon Brown calling an old woman a bigot and a racist?That outburst brought the Labour Party down in 2010.When the election that year could be and would have been winnable for Labour.A few wee words from Gordon Brown brought us Brexit,austerity,the SNP nutjobs,etc,etc.Sunaks effort might bring down the Tories this year.Strange days,strange days.
