An actor is given what he must believe is a prop gun, fires it, kills someone. Prosecute the person who gave him the gun, maybe, but the actor? I just don't get it.

I'm torn between somebody trying to make a name for themself in the American legal world and somebody with a personal grudge against Mr Baldwin, they may even be the same person.None of it makes sense in the real world.

15.28.  I know.  I was trying to be nice too ;0)

TORATORATORA, "it's just a load of standard nitpicking irrelevant rowlocks cut out of some sort of online manual from the contrarian in chief"

Is it, "irrelevant rowlocks" because it's guidance from the actors union and doesn't support your opinion an actor has no responsibilities when it comes to using prop firearms?

I don't really get it either.

Surely the whole point of having a specific person in charge of the guns, is so that the actor can know a weapon is completely safe when it's handed to him.

Brandon Lee was shot while filming The Crow. There was no question of that actor being charged as far as I remember.

One of those situations where it's so easy to be wise after the event.

I guess the average actor wouldn't even dream about live ammunition on set, why would they ?

On face value, there's not much of a case to answer. But he was co-producer, co-writer, lead actor and it was a "passion project" for him, so maybe the prosecutors know better ...

because it had happened before - hadnt he staff said that a live round found its way into the duds?

"Apart from that Mrs Lincoln, did you enjoy the play"
