You can just imagine the Labour spads..."Aw come on we were looking forward to shafting those bar stewards" - another lefty sacred cow slaughtered. If Labour win, will it really be Labour?

Quite so, youngmaf.
Neither of the main parties wants to upset anybody, so desperate are they to gain (or cling on to) power. The result of that will be that everybody gets what nobody wants.
It's no secret that I hold Tory principles, but I have nobody to vote for. When I hear accusations that the Tory Party is "extreme Right wing" my response is, "if only". Labour supporters are largely in the same position.
It makes me laugh when people suggest it's time for a change. Whoever wins next time round, there will be no change, just tinkering at the edges. The country will continue to muddle along with all its problems, none of which will be properly addressed. There will be little or no growth and whoever is in office will simply throw more and more borrowed or artificially created cash at any problem that arises, measuring their success by the cash doled out instead of the outcomes it produces.
