Sadiq Khan's Shady Past
Is he fit for purpose?
Answers
according to the link khan defended political extremists in court on the grounds that it was his job as a lawyer even though he found their views unsavoury... he is also alleged to have been friends as a younger man with a person who went on to commit terror offences
not much to see here i am afraid... and no evidence at all that sadiq khan holds terrorist or extremist sympathies
Mozz; "Isn't it a lawyer's job to sometimes have to defend scumbags? " - yes and in some cases let them off completely....

Isn't it a lawyer's job to sometimes have to defend scumbags?

It's not their job to actively seek them out to defend them.
He wanted to jet off to America to defend islamist terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui but was told to *iss off.
Why would he want to do that?
Why would he want to share a platform with islamist terrorists?
Why would he call moderate Muslims 'Uncle Tom's?
Sorry for the delay in answering.

It doesn't say Khan "actively sought out" degenerates to represent, rather it says
"In August 2002, Khan was denied access to the US to help defend Zacarias Moussaoui, a member of Al Qaeda who was part of the 9/11 terrorist atrocities."
so it looks to me more likely he was hired to represent them. Still a dubious decision and not one I would've take, but very different to looking for terrorists to represent.
