I think I might have taken part in that survey – I seem to recall a pollster asking me what I thought about our corrupt politicians, the appalling state of the NHS and our public services in general, Brexit, and 14.5 million people in the UK living in poverty.

 

Then again, they might by chance have asked a few of those 14.5 million.

Ireland is no 8 on the unhappiest country in the world yet no 4 on the best country in the world. Likewise Australia, no 6 on the unhappiest list, no 11 on the best.
