A Home Office spokesperson  says "Stopping the boats is now the Tories top priority .....(Not very good at it are they?)The cost will rise to £11bn a year by 2026 ,,,Bet they are glad they will be on the opposition benches by then.

I dont think they even give a toss now because they know full well they are on the way out, not that Boris, Truss and Sunak cared before. If something is not directly affecting you, why concern yourself about it. Nothing is really taken seroius in this country until the **** hits the fan, by that time its far to late to correct the problem. The laws in this country need a serious look at in all areas, is that going to happen, no. During covid there were emergency laws put in place over night with no problems to stop people moving from A to B and to have a nomal day to day life. Stop strangers walking up our beaches? No chance, even after months and millions.
