The op header is misleading in its content and intent. He was agreeing with a female constituent who was complaining that £100k was the threshold for help with childcare benefits and was not much at all when a mortgage and chioldcare costs were deducted. He agreed with her! He incidently picks up £84,144as an MP and a further £71,674 as Chancellor. A total of £155,818.
^^^ Yup!
JH actually gets £86,584 p.a. as an MP, plus a further £67,505 p.a. as a Cabinet Minister, making £154,089 p.a. (plus expenses) in total.

He isnt, read the article before letting your prejudices take precedence.
I would like to see the number of MP’s halved and their salaries doubled. That would be much more reasonable for the job. BUT, no second jobs.
