Manchester Airport's Treatment Of Hamas Attack Victims Probed
//Claims survivors of the 7 October Hamas attack on Israel faced discrimination at Manchester Airport are being investigated, the government has said.
The Jewish Representative Council for Greater Manchester said two Israeli nationals had "faced aggressive questioning" by UK Border Force officials at the airport on Sunday.
The council alleged the Nova Music Festival victims were discriminated against "because they are Israeli".
The council said two survivors "had been invited to share their experiences with the Jewish community in Manchester".
In a letter posted on X, the council wrote: "Upon arrival, when Border Patrol noticed they were travelling with Israeli passports, they were asked why they had come to Manchester.
"They were informed that they would need to be questioned.
"The only reason for their detention and interrogation was because they are Israeli."
The council said the men were detained for two hours, and that it was in possession of a video showing a male officer "speaking in aggressive terms" and in a "demeaning" tone to them.
When released, an officer said they "had to make sure that you are not going to do what you are doing in Gaza over here", the letter alleged.//

These people would deter any innocent visitor to visit this country.I was treated similarly by immigration at Fort Worth and vowed never to visit the USA again. I was on a transfer to Canada. I never will go to America.
Isn't that what the Border Force are paid to do every day ? The Border Force stop and interview thousands of travellers a day, and once they are happy with the answers they get, the travellers are able to carry on with their travel, as this pair were able to do.
People travelling on an Israeli passport are not necessarily Jewish, so if that was why they were stopped it does not automatically mean it was anti semitic or even discriminatary.
Are they inferring that the Border Force officers were Muslim and hostile to them because of the subsequent massacre of Palestinians in Gaza ?
Need to see the outcome of the enquiry but at first look I cant see anything really wrong there. Border Force are, and should be, strict. And have you seen the types they have to deal with.
//Border Force are complete numpties//
Utter Nonsence, there are far more out there than you would ever come into contact with, dont tar everyone with the same brush because of your limited dealings with them. For instance ever been in a foreign country when they are trying to evacuate people?
//If one of the guards actually said those words, then it's quite scandalous//
Why? Do you think people coming into the UK put their hands up and say "Sure I've come to commit a criminal act"? They have to deal with all sorts of scum and sadly the scum look the same as everyone else. How would they know they were vitims of the Hams masacre? Anyone could say that and a criminal would to garner sympthy.
