Austerity, Brexit and the pandemic. How long will the terminally useless and possibly corrupt be able to fall back on the above for their abject failure and hopelessness?

She and her fellow loons wanted to break away and run a free country yet can't even organise a very narrow strip of it after decades of hot air and lies.

The North-East of England may empathise having their own issues with dualling the top end of the A1.

Anyway, at least she's toast as far as being in power goes.

"67+59 equals to hundreds of people old boy."

It equals 1.26 hundreds, actually. But I'll not quibble.

Question Author

We could just say 'roughly a ton and a quarter of people'.

It does make a man wonder about the accuracy of figures in previous posts by our African Employment Correspondent (North East) though.

as well as COVID and Brexit (being claimed as obstacles to dualling of the A9), the SNP also had to deal with the reality of the crisis ridden Edinburgh Trams project. the SNP always opposed it because the business case didn't add up, then by 2007 (when the SNP took power), with cost overruns, delays and contractual disputes mushrooming, the project began abstracting cash from the Scottish transport budget to the tune of £millions.

it's been open about 10 years and has yet to make an operating profit (its loss in 2018 was£9.4m). breakdowns are frequent (here's last night's ignominious failure - https://x.com/Robert_Drysdale/status/1796950449464934408 ) and the on-street track down Leith Walk is frequently blocked by parked cars (exacerbated by Edinburgh Council's ban on pavement parking). the project was threatened with cancellation in 2011 - had it been, the FM might have been able to keep the 2025 promise for the A9.

(In Monty Python Life of Brian style) ...

But apart from the roads, railways, airports, ferries and trams, where did the SNP transport policies fail for you?

Question Author

Had the trams fiasco been brought to a shuddering halt, mushroom, the woad wearers would have found some other cause to shower with riches instead of improving the lot of the country.

Why, I believe we only have three or four spaceports for example, how can we face the rest of the world?
