There really is no difference between Islamism and Islam, it is simply the extension of Islam into politics to still achieve the same aim :  The global domination of Islam and Islamic culture as the main religion and social relations for all peoples and societies.

Anyone trying to defend these actions is the cause of the problem.  Gove (who lost the plot a while back) is high on that list.

I would perhaps not use the term nutjobs for all of them but even the moderate ones I know are very right wing.  I too have wondered why the left pamper to them.

I feel that the Muslim religion should police itself. The  overwhelming majority of decent peace loving Moslems could shun the extremists and the violence they constantly inflict upon those they consider infidels.

Most Muslims do not want to indulge in a bloody Holy  war.
