Not quite. Clacton is in Essex. The border between Essex and Suffolk (the river Stour) is a good few miles up the coast. Harwich is the last large coastal town in Essex (heading north) with Felixstowe the first in Suffolk.
Politically, Douglas Carswell won the seat as a Conservative in 2010, resigned his seat in 2014, won it for UKIP in the resulting by-election, retained it in 2015 but lost to the Conservatives in 2017.
The constituency includes Jaywick, which is repeatedly cited as the most deprived neighbourhood in th UK:

I've actually got quite a fondness for Jaywick, as my grandparents lived there when I was a kid. However it has to be admitted that the area isn't without its problems:

Just imagine ... millions of voters do not want Starmer(including the lefties) millions more do not want Sunak(too small for his boots too big for his suits) and decide to vote for Reform because Farage is now steering the ship. Enough even to cause the chaos that is a hung Parliament. Farage will only accept a coalition with, what is left of the wet through, Conservative party if he is in charge and Prime Minister. Laugh? They nearly did.
