If you're a drinker will you be raising a glass in their memory?

This thread was started in good faith by someone (Sandy) who is a decent human being and it has been derailed by a short-sighted narrow-minded idiot.Any war is wrong.  Showing empathy for the civilians of Gaza is not the same as supporting terrorism.  Sitting down with terrorists in an attempt to find peaceful solutions is not the same as supporting...

I shall give thanks. Brave people, many losses.

I wish you would 'have a day off', TTT.

I'm not siding with anyone, TTT.

I fundamentally disagree with much of what sandyRoe posts, however, I am taking this thread asI believe it deserves to be taken which is in praise of those who took part in the D-Day landings.

It is you doing them a diservice with your rabid badgering of the OP.

I always remember them, with a drink or not.

I have to admit I did wonder about the motive of the OP given his previous posts.

I chose to ignore any ulterior motive posibilites and take it at face value.  It's the best way of dealing with some people.

Anyone not condemning the source of this thread is at least tacitly approving of that source. A man who celebrates terrorists, who calls baby beheaders, rapists murderers etc, "freedom fighters" - this is the company you are keeping, hope you realise. This is a sham post he hates us, he hates the western world and wants it to be controlled by Islam. I am amazed at how many of you seem to be mesmerised by this.

LiK, one can raise a glass with or without alcohol as I am sure many will.  Not sure why the OP chose to write "If your a drinker".

It's the action and thought that matters.

Are you feeling quite well, TTT?

That's a bit off-the-wall even for you...

"This poster cannot be allowed to even mention the heroes that created the condition for him to hate them."

except... he is allowed. and there is nothing you can do about it other than cry like a little baby. you really must try to learn that other people have different points of view than yours.

where is the proof by the way that sandy "hates" the d-day soldiers?

ymb - quite true, of course.  I am a drinker, but will have none in, so whatever's in the mug/glass at the time will do.

I, as others have, took the thread at face value & responded to the post, not the poster.  TTT, your posts are OTT, even by your very low standards.

gawd the commies have stirred now!

I think we are just confirming what we already knew. Lefties love terrorists, end of.

My grandfather often said he fought so we could make our own decisions and opinions.

TTT, if anyone is disrespectful on this thread it's you.  The SpareEd has seen it and is happy with it so do put a sock in it, there's a good chap.  We get your drift.

Give it a rest, Tora.

OK so we all must play along with this sham post from someone that hates us, right oh!

Compose yourself, ToraToraTora. sandyRoe has asked a simple question. This thread has only helped highlight the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
