What Does "Rebuild" Mean?
I suspect it means roll over and do everything the EUSSR wants so they'll be nice to us.

Hymie will be happy though!
That has always been the concern. No doubt present arrangements needs improving but where they fail is down to the EU side. I have little confidence a Starmer government will understand and stand up to further EU pressure to act as an EU state. Indeed, the government seems to encourage the EU to take advantage of it, and thus us.
This is wonderful news TTT . I hope you have got it right for once .It's time to start building bridges with our EU friends and hope this is Starmers Start to get the UK back into the EU. Then the UK can begin to move forward after being in the wilderness for the past eight years very good news thanks TTT.
Gulliver. I wish you would stop refering to them as 'Our European Friends'. The EU were never our friends, even when we were members of their club. They did everything they could to stop us living our lifes without their interference. Since we left they have continued to punish us for having the audacity to reject their way of living. They are certainly not, or have ever been, our 'Friends'. Any attempt by Starmer to get back in their good books will come at a heavy price, that every citizen in the UK will have to pay.
10.59 Gramps The Eu have always been friends of the UK . I have always been made very welcome. I feel a lot safer here than on the streets of London,Southport, Plymouth etc. You voted to leave the club you can't expect the other members to shower you with gifts because you left. It wasn't a retirement party You turned your backs on them.
//My friends with UK passports are greatly inconvenienced by the restrictions on their sojourns in the EU.//
Pray tell; what?
I travel to Europe, no problem and one of my nephews has recentely moved to Madrid to live and work, again no problem. We were never in Schengen so never had freedom in that regard.
//I have often spoken the EU//
Why the lol, and I doubt you have. You may have spoken to a couple of Clerks but not the actual EU, why would you?
Yes TTT, Sir Slippery will do it by stealth. And probably not even a commons vote.
But look at it this way, if he carries on as he has done for the last 6 weeks labour will be consigned to the dustbin for decades. Just need to take the long term punt on it.
