Mad Sad says there are 4000 deaths a year in London due to vehicle pollution, but neither he, or anyone else can show any evidence let alone proof. Name just one person who's died due to vehicle pollution. Oh yes, that young girl from about 10 years ago. She's the token example. There's got to be one, otherwise the claim can't be made can it?. But is there anyone else? Nope!
Sorry to hear that if its true.
But that's carbon monoxide so not Co2 or particles.
I agree with TTT, motoring is too cheap, when people on benefits can afford it then it needs to increase.

Maybe time to consider emigrating to a more civilised country (if you can find one) ? I'd recommend waiting 5 years first, but don't hold your breath. New governments rarely tackle undoing the crepe the previous one imposed on the people, they're more focused on adding a layer of their own crepe on top.
Actually clarion, in the case you describe the cause of death was the decision not to move out from a poor air quality area and live in a good air quality area. Personal responsibility to self and family members, especially those know to be vulnerable to something, should be one of everyone's priorities.
