I've calculated the likely increase my GP surgery faces three different ways and arrived at the same figure +/- 5%. My figure is in the same ball park as the LibDems and the Institute of GP Management. I've accommodated changes where you've challenged my assumptions and demonstrated that it makes no substantial difference. 

You have made no cogent counter argument other than to say I'm wrong. This isn't a discussion; it is a nonsense.

This is actually really quite comical seeing NJ explain something very simple to understand, over and over again, including with an image of a spreadsheet, and NB still doesn't understand. Either that or he refuses to understand, but either way it reflects poorly on him.

Yes you have, and thats why your calculations won't add up, or become anywhere near correct.

You have very high pay and very low pay at this practice, also its pretty obvious looking at the list of employees some only work a few hours a week. Therefore its impossible to give an average wage for all, to work out a true or near extra layout to keep these staff on.

Have you read and followed NJ's calculations/estimates, nicebloke?

NJ has done alternative calculations assuming a third of the staff only earn £8k per annum  (ie work part time or a couple of days a week). The increase in costs seems to be of the same magnitude whatever assumptions are made. He could assume half of the staff only earn £8000 but as each of these will costs the employer an extra £450pa the increase from these alone is  £5400pa.  Add on the extra cost of the higher paid staff and you end  up with a similar cost as a % of the payroll.

But if you prefer to put your fingers in your ears and assume all will be okay that's your preroragtive
